Beer Registration

Brewery and Beer Eligibility

The Brewery must be fully licensed for the manufacture and commercial sales of beers. Breweries in planning and home brewers are not eligible to register. Beer registered in the IBC must be brewed and commercially available in the world.

Registration Form

The registration is based on 2 categories [bottle/can or keg] and the beer styles.

  • Number of entries per brewery: Not limited
  • Please register twice if you register more than 11 entries per [bottle/can or keg].

Registration Fee

  • The cost to participate in the competition is 20000 JPY per one entry.
  • *Payment deadline: 19th of September, 2024.
  • *The fee will not be refunded for any reason except the cancellation of entire competition.

Shipping

Judging samples must be arrived at the CBA warehouse in Tokyo between 11th and 25th of September, 2024 except Judge's hand-carry.

  • Number of samples per 1 entry:
  • [Bottle/Can category]
  • 8 bottles/cans for all beer styles if the size of 1 bottle/can is less than 499ml.
  • 6 bottles/cans for all beer styles if the size of 1 bottle/can is more than 500ml.
  • [Keg Category]
  • Mimimum amount of beers per 1 entry(1 keg) for the completion: 2liters per 1 entry(1 keg).
  • * Note: You have to send a coupler to dispense your beer if the coupler of your keg is not the "A type", "D type ", "S type ", "G type", "T type", "Key Keg" or "Cornelius Keg".
  • * Note: If you wish to return the kegs, you will have to arrange transportation by yourself. Otherwise the kegs will not be returned.

Shipping Method Options:

1.CBA-DHL Service(ONLY for Bottle/Can Category / NOT applied to USA, Mainland CHINA and RUSSIA)
  • * This service is NOT applied to Keg Beers due to Japanese government’s regulation.
  • * This service is NOT applied to United State of America, Mainland CHINA and RUSSIA due to Japanese government’s regulation.
DHL Express - JAPAN is the preferred customs and international freight forwarder of the International Beer Cup. CBA-DHL Service is packaged service for the IBC including all of transportation costs and import costs/duties which save your time and money. Payment method should be made to the CBA together with beer registration fees. You will receive the details with special account number for CBA-DHL Service after the registration.
Shipping cost is shown below per 1 entry (including all of import costs/duties)(6 or 8 bottles/cans per 1 entry are required).
  • * Note: CBA-DHL service is not allowed USA, China and Russia, please choose "2. By our arrangements".
  • * Note: CBA-DHL service is not allowed Keg Beers, please choose "2. By our arrangements".
  • * Note: CBA-DHL fee will not be refunded for any reason after beer sample arrival at the competition.
  • -Shipping cost is 23000 JPY per 1 entry as Area 1 (South Korea and Taiwan)
  • -Shipping cost is 26000 JPY per 1 entry as Area 2 (Asia except South Korea and Taiwan)
  • -Shipping cost is 30000 JPY per 1 entry as Area 3 (Oceania and India)
  • -Shipping cost is 40000 JPY per 1 entry as Area 4 (EU Countries)
  • -Shipping cost is 50000 JPY per 1 entry as Area 5 (Other area except above)

* Note: For every 5 entries, you will receive the discount of 1 free shipping fee for the CBA-DHL Service.

2.By my arrangements
  • * You shall make your own transportation arrangements to CBA's refrigerated warehouse.
  • * You should understand you need to pay local Japan importation tax as well as transportation fees.
  • * You should understand that you need to responsible to clear Japanese customs and quarantine.

You will bring yourself if you will be a judge at IBC2024.
