Lager beers which do not conform to any lager style in this guideline are also categorized in Other International Lager. They can include wholly new lager beers which may deviate from typical lager fermentation profiles with slightly elevated ester, or in degree of attenuation. To allow for accurate judging the brewer must provide additional information about the entry including the classic lager style of underlying base beer, non-traditional hop variety(ies), non-traditional malts or adjuncts, and non-traditional fermentation processes if used. Beer entries not accompanied by this information will be at a disadvantage during judging.
