46-B. German-Style Schwarzbier

German Schwarzbiers are very dark brown to black, with a surprisingly pale-colored head (not excessively brown) with good cling quality. When clarity is perceivable, chill haze is not acceptable. Medium malt aroma includes a mild roasted malt character. Fruity-ester aroma should not be perceived. Hop aroma and flavor are very low to low, deriving from noble-type hops. Hop bitterness is low to medium. Diacetyl should not be perceived. Malt sweetness is low to medium, and incorporates mild roasted malt character without the associated bitterness. Body is light to medium-light, not full bodied.

46-B. ジャーマンスタイル・シュヴァルツビア

　ジャーマン・シュヴァルツビアの色合いは、非常にダークなブラウンからブラックの範囲。ほのかに灰色（茶色ではない）がかった、粘着性のある泡を特徴とする。透明度が高いものは、冷温白濁は許されない。モルト・アロマはミディアムで、マイルドなロースト香を伴う。フルーティーなエステル香とダイアセチルがあってはならない。ホップのアロマとフレーバーはノーブルタイプ・ホップ由来のもので、ローないし非常にロー・レベル。ホップの苦味は、ローからミディアム。モルト由来の甘味もローからミディアムで、高温焙焦モルト由来の苦味があってはならない。ボディはライトからミディアム・ライトの範囲で、フルボディのビールではない。
