35-D. American-Style Amber Light Lager

American Amber Light Lagers are pale to medium-amber. In these beers the word 斗ight・refers to relatively light body and reduced calories, rather than to color. Chill haze is not acceptable. Hop aroma and flavor are not be perceived or low. Hop bitterness is very low to low. Malt sweetness is very low but evident. Corn, rice, or other grain or sugar adjuncts may be used but all-malt formulations are also made. These beers are high in carbonation. Low fruity-ester aromas are acceptable. Diacetyl should not be perceived. Body is light to medium-light. Calorie level should not exceed 125 per 12 ounce serving.

35-D. アメリカンスタイル・アンバー・ライトラガー

　アメリカン・アンバー・ライトラガーの色合いは、ペールからミディアム・アンバーの範囲。“ライト”は、ライト・ボディ、低カロリーを意味している。冷温白濁は許されない。ホップのアロマとフレーバーはロー・レベル以下で、まったく感じられなくてもよい。ホップの苦味はローないし非常にロー・レベル。モルト由来の甘味もロー・レベルだが、はっきりと感じられる。原料にコーン、米、その他の穀物や糖類が使われることが多いが、モルト100%のものもある。カーボネーション・レベルは高い。ロー・レベルであれば、エステル香が感じられてもよい。ダイアセチルがあってはならない。ボディはライトからミディアム・ライトの範囲。カロリーのレベルは100mlにつき35Kcalを超えてはならない。
