American Amber Lagers are gold to copper. Chill haze should not be perceived. Low to medium-low caramel-type or toasted malt aromas are often present. Fruity-ester aroma should be absent. Hop aroma, flavor and bitterness are very low to medium-high. Low to medium-low caramel-type or toasted malt flavors are present. Diacetyl should be absent. Body is medium.

　アメリカン・アンバーラガーは、ゴールドからカッパー（銅色）の色合いを持つ。冷温白濁は認められない。モルト由来のカラメル香ないしトースト香がローないしミディアム・ローのレベルで感じられるものが多い。フルーティーなエステル香とダイアセチルは許されない。ホップのアロマとフレーバーおよび苦味は、非常に弱いレベルからミディアム・ハイまで。カラメルないしローストしたモルトのキャラクターが、ローからミディアム・ローのレベルで感じられる。ボディはミディアム。
